Finished Basement Framing Services

Finished Basement Metal Framing

For customers who prefer to handle portions of the project themselves, we offer individual services as well, one of which is finished basement framing. On average, the framing on its own will take about 5 working days to complete. If ceiling and soffit framing are required, it could add a few additional days of work. Soffit framing is utilized to box out low-hanging obstructions and integrate them into the aesthetics of the floor-plan. Supplemental wood framing components can be used in situations where significant structural support is required. 

Finished Basement Steel Framing

Our preferred finished basement framing material is metal. Steel framing components are available in a wide variety of dimensions and gauges and integrate particularly well into the finished basement framing process. Metal stud framing is well suited to the basement environment for many reasons. Firstly, the metal is galvanized to prevent rust, and is also rated to be in direct contact with concrete surfaces. The metal is also obviously fire-proof and doesn't sustain mold growth. Additionally, metal framing is always perfectly straight, never bowed and will never shift or move after installation. In a traditional framing scenario, woods studs have a tendency to expand, contract and bend over time, causing drywall imperfections like cracking and nail-marks. Lastly, the steel stud installation process is dust free.
